About us

A family practice, in the truest sense

Founded in 2018, Villa Family Clinic brings together decades of military, cardiology, and women's health experience — in a clinic small enough to know you by name.

Our story

Why we opened our doors

Villa Family Clinic was founded in 2018 by Jose Villa, DNP — a former military nurse who spent the first part of his career stabilizing critically ill patients, and the next two decades in cardiology caring for hearts of every age.

Along the way he kept seeing the same thing: patients who felt rushed, unheard, and handed off. He opened Villa Family Clinic with a simple conviction — families in South Texas deserve a clinic where you are known by name, seen without endless waits, and treated by providers experienced enough to handle the complicated things without losing small-clinic warmth.

Today, with locations in San Antonio and Pleasanton, our team of nurse practitioners cares for every generation of your family — from newborn checkups to heart rhythm management — with the same mission we started with: straightforward, personal healthcare that treats you like family.
